"The Boat" - big movie

 "The Boat" is a 1981 German epic war film written and directed by Wolfgang Petersen.
The pictures originated in France, La Rochelle at the Atlantic Coast. They show the work on the movie and you may ask for this
exhibition which was presented on different locations in the past.

The Boat with it's high production cost ranks it among the most expensive films in the history of German Cinema. It was the second most expensive up until that time, after "Metropolis".

Teddy on his way ...

On my little vacation through Italy, Tuscany and iland Elba, the pictures where taken.
I had taken so many landscape pictures, that's why I was close the say by myself: This time vacation without any camera.
Then I remebered a gift given to me a year before, the bear. My listlessness was the motive the start a totaly different topic.
So I decided to send him on his way to Italy and I followed him, with pleasure.

Some pictures where planded to sell one day. In different sizes, always enlaged opticaly with a Leitz enlager and developed in Kodak RA4 chemistry, then assembled in passepartout, ready for you to find your own picture frame. The number of the original color negativ, and its place in my negativ ring foldeer, make this realy to a unique pice of art, that never ever kann be offered that way.
